The company Vendom from Laktaši records year after year the growth of exports and production in the metal industry. The demand for modern waste disposal and removal systems is growing, points out Sandra Đukanović, director of the Vendom company, and this year, as so far, they expect an increase in exports of up to 30%.

This also includes employee training, new employment and other investments.

- In accordance with expectations, we intend to expand the machinery park, hire new workers, train and improve the existing ones, work on the development of existing and new products, as well as increasing exports. By the end of the year, we want to complete the planned investments, employ 10 more workers, and, as in the previous five years, increase exports by 20 to 30% - says Đukanović.

He points out that the investment plan by the end of the year includes investing in production machines, expanding the machinery park, as well as modernizing the ventilation system in the sandblasting process.

- Our equipment and machines follow the modern technological trend on the market. The value of the investment until the end of the year is about 500,000 KM, which is half of the total annual investment in fixed assets.

In addition, Vendom plans to enter the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, where they have not delivered products until now.

- At the end of this year, we plan to start selling underground and above-ground containers for waste disposal on the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Montenegro, as well as Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine - says Đukanović.

This Laktaši-based company has so far exported 99% of its production to EU markets, Scandinavian countries, Africa, China and Israel.

The main product of the company Vendom is a steel above-ground and underground container for waste and a crane for emptying the container. The production of metal constructions and products for various purposes in the construction, automotive and other industries accounts for about 10% of production.

- What sets us apart on the market is a high-quality product and service, an innovative product and in line with the global trend of waste management and disposal, fast delivery times, the ability to quickly respond to specific customer requests, product specificity, a complete range of products for waste collection and emptying, adaptability to all terrain conditions, production, assembly, service and maintenance - says Đukanović.

The company Vendom started operating in Laktaši in 2008 as a supplier of parts for steel containers for the main customer in Switzerland, with only two employees. In 13 years, Vendom has grown into one of the largest exporters in the metal sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- The key years for the development of the company, increasing the volume of production and therefore exports are 2014, 2019 and 2020, when the capacity of the company increases, modernization of production, acquisition of the highest standards in the field of metal production (ISO 9001 and EN 1090 and 3834). , increasing the number of workers and the volume of exports. From the status of a supplier, Vendom became a partner to a Swiss customer and now together they perform on the demanding markets of the EU, Scandinavia, Africa and Israel. The partner production is entirely in the production facilities of Vendome in Veliko Blaško - says Đukanović.

He says that today the company has 126 workers and produces more than 3,000 underground and above-ground containers, 10,000 different metal structures in construction and other branches of industry, as well as 100 cranes for emptying containers.

The director of Vendome adds that they are now facing a dizzying increase in the prices of raw materials on the market. In such circumstances, he says, the biggest challenge for the company is to keep prices on the market acceptable.

- As with most other export-oriented companies, the challenges come down to how to improve quality, increase productivity, fight the competition... Now our focus is on the worker, our goal is to provide the best possible working and living conditions for all employees. The systemic problem in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the outflow of labor, and since there is no systemic response to it, businessmen must provide workers with conditions that will ensure their stay here, first of all through an increase in wages but also other working and living conditions - says Đukanović.

He also emphasizes the benefits of doing business in the area of Laktaši, since the municipality has a BFC CEE certificate on a favorable business environment, which speaks of the attitude towards businessmen who do business there.
