The Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republika Srpska has published a Public Call for incentives for small and medium-sized enterprises. The line minister visited one of the successful, export-oriented factories in Laktaši. The call is open for awarding incentives to support the strengthening, development, promotion, and dynamic growth of these economic entities.

The company Vendom from Laktaši exports 99 percent of its products to the foreign market. The primary export product is underground and above-ground waste disposal systems and emptying vehicles. This container manufacturing system is based on Swiss licenses and modern technology.

"We have good cooperation with the Ministry and the Government of Republic of Srpska through the various projects we worked on, all the more significant investments we had, for the basic means of production, machines, and modernization of our production, we had the support of the Government," said the owner of Vendom Sandra Đukanović.

The responsible minister says that this company is important for the economy of Srpska and that it is important to support it with the aim of expanding production and exports. - This company invests significantly and expands, both in the domestic and foreign markets. It is very important from the point of view of export, as one of the important elements of the processing industry of Srpska - said the Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of Republic of Srpska Vjekoslav Petričević.

"What we still aim for is expansion, not only in the municipality of Laktaši, but we are also expanding to other municipalities. We will pay special attention to underdeveloped municipalities in Srpska" said Đukanović.

Vendom currently employs 170 workers, and the opening of new plants will be an opportunity for new jobs. Thanks to this and similar enterprises, according to the city administration, Laktaši is the third local community in Srpska, after Banjaluka and Bijeljina, in terms of economic activities.

"Surely they are one of the best examples, not only of how things are done here, in the city of Laktaši, but also in Republic of  Srpska," said the mayor of Laktaši, Miroslav Bojić.

The Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship today opened a public call for incentives for small and medium-sized enterprises. The budget at their disposal is more than one million marks, and the competition is open until August 25th.
